Blog 14: Genocide.

In North Korea there was a lot of genocide. 1948-1987 when a man named Kim Il-Sung was president it all happened. With him being president in Korea it all started there. It occurred because the Koreans did not like how the president was running things and treating people. People could of done things to stop it or tell someone who could help stop it. About 1,600,000 people have been murdered because of the conflict, North Koreans forced 400,000 South Koreans into the North Korean army. Over 1,243,000 men, woman and children were killed. The U.S could do somethings about these things that happen. North Koreans forced 400,000 south Koreans into their army. The U.S protecting other countries could put our country in danger. Many things could be done to stop the killings but no one want to put their county in danger or get involved. Helping the people who need it the most would help because of the amount of troops other countries have.

Blog 13: Current Event #2

Britain is currently debating many reasons for a smoking ban. First, over 50% of adults in the Uk smoke. Because so many people smoke, I think that it is causing danger to the younger children's immune systems have not developed all the way. Second, between a third and a half of people light up a cigaret when they are in the car, I think that the toxins in the car can cause a lot of health problems. Third, in no part of the UK have the banned smoking in private cars, I think that since people are in their own vehicle that they have the right to smoke in their car. Fourth, Toxins are much higher in a smokey bar than in other places, smoking bars I think have a lot of smoke in them because so many people smoke and there isn't any air coming their to get rid of the high toxins that are in the air. Last, work vehicles that are used for work purposes already have smoking banned, what i my opinion in just having smoking banned in one place is not enough, banding smoking in all would help the environment out a lot.
The British medical association and Doctors want to stop second hand smoking in the Uk. Second hand smoking in the UK is causing toxins in public places to go up. Also smoking is effecting young immune systems from developing. Danger has risen in in public places. A lot of bars and places allow people to smoke. Smoking does effect a lot of people. At annual conferences Doctors are voting for the laws to change and so are others. Smoking in the car carrie 23 times more toxin than in a bar. As of the year 2011 wales campaign is working on ban smoking. It's going to be hard to ban smoking because a lot of people are going to disagree and not want to go with the law. Bad Health in the country is going up do to people smoking.
In the fur smoking could be a big disagreement for the people who live in the UK and the doctors there also. Smoking at a young or old age can cause major health problems for them. It could even cause problems to people who dont even smoke. Just begin around smoke can cause immune systems to younger adults and kids who have not developed them yet. I think that in the future this banned law will not succeed due to the people who smoke and the owners or smoking bars. Things in the UK could turn out to look not so goos do to the toxins of smoking.

Blog 12: The Environment Keystone Pipeline

The Keystone Pipeline is a system that will be built in Canada but will began at Hardisty Alberta
and run threw states Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma to Texas ,that will have oil that travels threw the line. Some people support the keystone pipeline and while others don't. The people who support the pipeline think that the pipeline is a good idea because it could decrease things and there could be more jobs. The ones who don support it think that jobs will increase more than they have already and other things in the U.S to worry about like society damage that is being ignored and should not worry about a 13 million dollar pipeline. It could help the U.S by leaking and getting in other places and effect them. President Obama thinks the pipeline should be built because it would help. I think building the pipeline would be good because of cheap prices oil might have and also jobs may form in the future because of the change.javascript:void(0)

Blog 11:Global Warming

Global Warming is a very high feul of CO2 gases in the air that is effecting the earth. It is also causing levels in the sea to rise. Feuls from cars, factories, and greenhouses are causing it. It all started before The Industrial Revolution. The gases releast and started effecting things. With all the fuels that collided together it became very strong. The gas is so strong that it can stay in the air for hundreds of years. In many ways Global warming can also cause diseases, flooding and Migration of cities. Everything is starting to fall and sooner or later there wont be very many goods because they wont be any good because of the gases. I believe global warming is true. I also think people should be very aware of it because it is dangerous. I believe in the effects of it to because in Antarctica. In Antarctica the glaciers are disappearing and melting away.

Blog 10: Wall Street Protest

Wall Street protest that is happening in todays world in places like New York, Boston and Rome, Hundreds and Thousands are protesting because of the rate of umemployment is low and fairness. They are angry at the bankers who are getting paid big for bailouts. While the people who have no jobs are suffering. The protest has been going on since september and still is going on today in the month of october. Protesters in Rome are so angry with them that they are setting cars on fire, breaking windows of stores and banks and destroying traffic lights. For people in Boston at the greenway and Dewey Square 100 arrests or more have been made. Because of the unfairness the protesters and other have been getting they have been going nuts over it. Just trying to get their point across things are gong bad. The Protest went global and the people with thier shields and guns cant even do anything but arrest them. For weeks people have been rioting and fighting for a say in it. Un wealthy unemployed protesters marched the cites and stopped traffic to start protest wile others from traffic and other places joined in. 20 groups of ministers with finace talked about the effect it got on the people. Officals are hoping thats big rallies and all rallies are going to end because of how out of hand it is getting.
In the Wall Street Protest that has been going on around the glob. i think is bad and is good at the same time. It is bad because people are destroying things that don't belong to them. The protesters are getting arrested for fighting in what they believe is wrong and i don't think that is right. The unemployment rate is horrible around the world and the homeless rate is bad also. Do to the fact that people don't have jobs or places to go it makes the economy way worse that it was before. My opinion on it being good is that people are speaking up and protesting for what needs to be fixed. I think that no one should loose their job and jobs. It is also good because people who are wealthy are starting to see all of the people who are being affected by the unemployment rate and the bankers who are getting tons of money and things. No one deserves to have nothing at all. The Unfairness that the unemployed are getting is bad. People who do have money are getting the beige cut. It is just like putting an innocent person on death penalty and not giving them a chance to live the rest of their life or even a chance to speak. In todays world thing to me rant equal because people who have nothing or not much of anything. That i think about wall street protests.

Blog 9: Underware Bomber

In the "Underware Bomber" case a Nigerian man name Umar Farrouk Abulmutallab was arrested and on trial for the attempt to bomb a plane that was aboarded with passengers along with himself. It was said that the bomb was made into his underware and was planned to go off any minute in the plane. Before the bomb was said to go off, Abdulmutallab prayed for his life, thinking that day that it was going to end. When the plane was aboarded with three hundred passengers, he later on sat in his seat and a man told him that his pants where on fire. He than announced he had a bomb and they quickly landed the plane for saftey. Abdulmutallab was arrested right away after leaving the plane. In having being arrested he went to jail and they took the case to trial in Detriot, Michigan in September 2011 the trail began and he refused to stand up for the judge and yelled out the terrorist Osama Binladen was alive. The trial is said to start again the week of October 17. Even though he didnt suceed his mission he is charged with conspiracy to commit an act of terroism, attmepted murder and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. There for he has nothing left but to face life in prison if he is convicted of the attempted crime. From the looks of it he is going to face like in prison with the evidence they have and the witnesses that were aboard on the plane. Nothing can stop him from going to prison.
I think that Aludulmtalab should be charged with the attempt he made to kill people. Just because things have happened with the u.s and other counties it does not give him or anyone else the right to come into the U.S and kill innocent people and bomb things although someone ordered them to. Everyone does not deserve to get punished if they are innocent. It is bad that so many terroist come into the U.S and do things to hurt others who do not have anything to do with the way things go. I also think that in the future it will have a big impact on the worlds expecially because of 911. The people who are against us the U.S are going to be angry in the future and things might get worse because the terroist cant find a way to get to the U.S. As of the year 2011 people are more aware with things because of the attacks and are at the same time scared to aboard on planes and other things. In the future and in history people are going to know what effect the terroist and its attacks on the U.S citizens. But also at the same time not knowing that any minute you could be in danger its very scary. My reaction to this case that is going on is I think is very sad. If I were someone that was held for my life I would be so scared. Nowadays getting on a plane or even thinking about it makes things fearful for alot of people.

Blog 8: Heathcare in the U.S

In the U.s Healthcare system their are issues about millions of americans being under-insured. I think that everyone who cant afford their bills should be ran away because of a certain amount of bills they have. The system here is bad because people should not forced to pay taxes. I think thats the system could be fixed. The problem could be fixed because bills are high for alot of americans and they just cant afford bills without insurance. It could be fixed by allowing people to have insurance no matter how high the bills they have are. People in America pay taxes so they should be allowed to have insurance as well.Insurance went up and in small buisness and insurers did not know why. People like Nikki White could not pay hosbital bills and she ended up dying because she did not have help with the medical bills and could not find the cure for her disease loopis. On may 2006 Niki died from no cure. Over 1,000 Anericans die each year because they cant get the health care insurance they need. As of today 25 million americans are uninsured.
